Botanical Description

Yushania vigens is an evergreen bamboo, spreading by rhizomes to form a wide cluster of erect, woody stems around 2.5 - 5 metres tall, occasionally reaching 7 metres. The stems are thin walled, around 12 - 30mm in diameter and with internodes 28cm long. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a source of materials.
