Botanical Description
Smilax megacarpa is a climbing shrub, producing stems up to 6 metres long that can attach themselves to other plants for support by means of tendrils. The rhizomes and fruit are sometimes gathered from the wild for local use. The plant also has minor local medicinal uses.
