Botanical Description
Astrocaryum perangustatum is a spiny, evergreen, single-stemmed palm tree with an unbranched stem up to 4 metres tall and 20 - 23cm in diameter that is topped by a crown of 8 - 14 leaves that are up to 6 metres long including the petiole[ 1874 Title Astrocaryum (Palmae) in Amazonia.
