Botanical Description
Swintonia schwenckii is an evergreen tree with a spreading canopy; it usually grows up to about 45 metres tall, occasionally to 53 metres. The straight, cylindrical bole can be free of branches for more than 20 metres, it is usually up to 70cm in diameter, occasionally to 120cm, wiith buttresses up to 3 metres high, 5 metres wide and 15cm thick[ 146 Title A Manual of Indian Timbers.
