Botanical Description

Licuala bachmaensis is an evergreen palm with a solitary stem that can be up to 150cm tall and 20cm in diameter, though it is often short and subterranean. The stem is topped by a crown of up to 20 fan-shaped leaves with petioles up to 180cm long and leaf blades up to 130cm wide.
