Salix blinii is a deciduous shrub or small tree The plant is harvested from the wild for use in commercial cosmetic preparations Salix blinii is known from just one location, with an estimated extent of occurrence and area of occupancy of around 12 km². Currently there is no current evidence of decline, but there is a future potential threat from invasive species and habitat loss, both of which are occurring on Jeju but it currently is unclear what effects these threats may be having on this species.
