Botanical Description
Dicraeopetalum capuronianum is a deciduous shrub or a tree. The tree is harvested from the wild for local use of its wood. The tree is recorded from only a few scattered localities in a restricted area of southern Madagascar. Its range is estimated to be 16,000 km². The tree is being selectively felled for timber whilst its habitat is continuing to be destroyed.
